.. Is what I would say if I were anywhere near ready to launch my brick-and-mortar store.
Instead, at this phase in my planning, I am getting ready to craft kits of hand-knitted items. I will be selling these online, and at the Catalyst art cooperative on Ustick in Boise.
I’m going to start with basic scarves, socks, Etc.. Eventually I want to make kits for more complicated projects, such as double knitting and entrelac. I will hopefully be teaching some of these advanced skills at Catalyst.
Each step of my plan is going to require financing, as my husband and I are both on Disability. I will be starting a kickstarter campaign, and if anyone wants to pay in advance for kits or yarn, I’ll give you credit towards future purchases.
The plans and the details are still coming together. I plan to make the product of each kit so I can film the process and also get an idea of how long it takes. Each kit will have both written instructions and a link to the demo video. I also plan to be available for video chats if my customers run into any snags.
I will be updating this blog frequently so I can keep you informed of my progress. I would love feedback. I would especially like to know what kits you would be interested in, and what skills you would like to learn. If you have any advice at all, be it business, financial, or craft related, please let me know in the comments section below.
Thank you all for visiting my website, and I look forward to working with you in the near future. May you and those you love be blessed with happiness, prosperity, and wisdom.
Sincerely,
Morgaine Brigid O’Herne, gwas Sant Fraid
